Una vicenda storica come quella della nascita della comunit\u00e0 afroamericana negli Stati Uniti, legata a secoli di schiavit\u00f9 e alla successiva difficile integrazione razziale diventa materia dalla quale Kara Walker pu\u00f2 attingere per i suoi racconti figurativi, giocati sull\u2019ombra, sulla sagoma. Le sue silhouette nere si muovono in una terra visionaria e metaforica, tra giorno\/notte e luce\/buio.
