Le opere di <strong>Beverley-Jane Stewart<\/strong> trattano il tema dell\u2019<strong>eredit\u00e0 ebraica<\/strong>, riconoscendo la <strong>diversit\u00e0<\/strong> e l\u2019<strong>inclusivit\u00e0<\/strong> in una <strong>societ\u00e0 multiculturale<\/strong> e apprezzando al contempo il contributo che gli <strong>immigrati<\/strong> di volta in volta hanno dato ai Paesi che li ospitano.<\/p>\n<p>Nella serie di <strong>incisioni<\/strong>, presentate qui per <strong>la prima volta in Italia<\/strong>, si potranno ammirare i dettagli intimi e le memorie storiche e spirituali impresse in ogni <strong>sinagoga<\/strong> ed edificio.<\/p>\n<p>Sar\u00e0 anche l\u2019occasione per vedere attraverso un <strong>video<\/strong> dell\u2019artista stessa tutte le fasi del suo lavoro incisorio.<\/p>\n<p>Influenzata dalla recente <strong>visita<\/strong> <strong>in<\/strong> <strong>Romania<\/strong>, sua terra di origine, per una ricerca sulla <strong>tradizione<\/strong> <strong>ebraica<\/strong>, l\u2019artista si \u00e8 resa conto che le sinagoghe erano completamente in disuso, mentre le comunit\u00e0 si stavano pian piano estinguendo. Ha ampliato la sua ricerca esplorando altre <strong>sinagoghe<\/strong> <strong>dell\u2019Europa<\/strong> <strong>orientale<\/strong> che erano degradate a causa dell\u2019incuria o della distruzione.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Queste incisioni sono state create da <strong>lastre<\/strong> <strong>di<\/strong> <strong>zinco<\/strong> <strong>lucide<\/strong>, la cui bellezza \u00e8 stata fisicamente distrutta dalla corrosione dei <strong>metalli<\/strong> con gli <strong>acidi<\/strong>: le immagini ottenute hanno dato vita a una <strong>nuova<\/strong> <strong>storia<\/strong>, formando nuovi messaggi con <strong>linee<\/strong>, <strong>texture<\/strong> e <strong>ombre<\/strong>.
